Pipe & tank preparation with a shot blasting machine

Pipe and tank preparation is specialised blasting of cylindrical work: external coating prep, internal cleaning, and ID blasting of pipes, vessels, LPG/CNG bottles and similar assets.

A standard cabinet cannot reach the inside of a long pipe. Pipe-cleaning and vessel machines, plus portable equipment for site tanks, are specified around diameter, length and whether the blast is internal, external or both.

The surface must be clean enough for wrapping, lining, paint or inspection. Residual mill scale inside a pipe becomes a coating holiday waiting to happen.
